Em and I were up at my grandfather's cabin last night and saw some fantastic wildlife on the way down. I tried to grab a few photos with my phone, but the quality is pretty bad. I guess it's time to invest in an actual camera (again). Em's favorite was the porcupine (assuming you can tell which picture that is in.)

I remember working on some cabins in that area and every morning we drove through there there was moose and deer everywhere. Once I had an apprentice with me and we saw a cow moose and the calf. This guy was from Meh-hee-ko and hadn't seen a lot of moose before, anyway, I was trying to convince him to step outside the truck and pose with the calf, you know a picture to show his kids, but he wouldn't do it. Bah!
nice.
Someone once talked my cousin in to trying to feed a half-tame yearling deer. It stood up on hind legs and kicked him in the face and chest a couple of times before bouncing off. My cousin managed to escape with only a few cuts and bruises. I can only imagine the damage a cow moose might inflict if she decided to.
