Deb, Zack, and I caught this on opening night. Don't get me wrong, I love the movie, and IMHO no one can play these parts better than Rex Harrison and Audrey Hepburn; but there is something present in stage performances that movies never seem to capture. (The singular exception being the 1982 TV broadcast of Sweeney Todd, which was really just a filming of the stage play. George Hearn is the quintessential Sweeney)Back to My Fair Lady... If you get a chance, this one is well worth checking out (I'm going to try to take Emmalee while it's still playing if possible).

4 out of 5 fantastic lead actors.

Nothing about My Fair Lady, but my cousin is going to be in a production of Sweeny Todd at the Castle Theater somewhere in Provo, it starts in a couple of weeks. She is in the ensemble cast.
That is awesome! I always love seeing a live production of Sweeney! I almost wish I'd have known about it in time to audition. It's been a while since I was in Acapella, but I know the Sweeney songs backwards and forwards. And these days I've put on almost enough weight to play Beedle Bamford.
